You can also simply go bait fishing to catch reef fish and ask for the cook to prepare it for you to eat fresh fish straight from the ocean.

People in Kei use ancestral methods of jigging to catch Tuna and wahoo using hand made lures made with chicken  feathers, you can try it out but trust me pulling a 30kg GT with a hand line is not easy !

Fishing is in the heart of the Kei culture with young children learning almost before talking, most of the people in Kei leave from fishing by selling the fish in town or working on giant fishing boats.
