Reintroduction and protection of the 3 species of sea turtle

Kei is home of the Green, Hawksbill and Leatherback turtles.

The deterioration of the sea by bombing, pollution and poisoning is causing a lot of damage to the turtle populations.

Kei is on of the last place on earth where the Leatherback turtle breeds and you can see them on the South of the island in the village of Ohoidertutu in the right season (september-october-november).
