In the sacred coastal village of Ohoidertawun, in the Kei Islands, Southeast Maluku, Manoa is a collection of four handcrafted, beachfront houses nestled between the forest and the sea — nine rooms in total, crafted from palm, stone, and driftwood. Each house carries its own character, shaped by island life, Austronesian architecture, and a deep connection to the surrounding landscape and people.
After crossing the sea and walking barefoot across sandbanks that disappear with the tide, visitors discover a paradise where time slows down. Hidden lagoons, remote beaches, limestone cliffs, and coral reefs known mainly to local fishermen await those who come to explore. For birdwatchers, the diverse ecosystems of the archipelago offer one of Indonesia's richest backdrops.
