Archipelago Notes

A cultural and natural journal from the Kei Islands — Nuhu Evav.

Here we gather what the archipelago has to tell: origin myths and fire legends, the Evav language, the great Meti tide when the sea withdraws and you can walk from island to island, ancestral canoe navigation, coral-reef life, and stories from the villages that built Manoa. Written in the three languages of these islands — English, French and Indonesian — as the sea carries them.
